Strategist with a focus on signal protection for Södertälje Municipality Group

We are a joint security department for the entire municipal group, i.e., the administration and our corporate group Telge. The administration consists of seven offices. Telge AB is the parent company of the corporate group, which in turn consists of eight companies. The department is responsible for driving, coordinating, and following up the municipal group's strategic work in crime prevention, civil preparedness, security protection, operational protection, information security, and data protection. The security department is organizationally part of the Municipal Executive Office.

Your responsibilities

As a strategist with a focus on signal protection, you are responsible for coordinating and leading Södertälje Municipality Group's signal protection activities in accordance with applicable regulations. You ensure that the organization has order and control over cryptographic materials, key management, and signal protection systems, as well as that routines, training, and follow-up work in everyday life.

You will play a key role in:

- Developing and implementing governing documents for the municipal group
- Ensuring and supporting the organizations in their work to create routines aimed at active efforts leading to compliance with regulations for security protection work
- Following up and reporting to the security protection manager, the municipal management group, and the corporate management group on the status of the systematic signal protection work
- Participating and contributing with expertise in security protection analyses within the municipal group
- Supporting the work with security protection analyses, plans, and measures related to security protection work

Who are you?

Requirements:
- Relevant academic degree in security work or equivalent work experience
- Documented experience in signal protection activities within the public sector or other security-sensitive operations
- Good knowledge of security protection and communication security
- Ability to build governance, processes, and training, as well as drive improvement and follow-up in line with operational goals
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:
- Completed training in signal protection
- Experience in key/cryptographic management, system implementation, and audits/self-control
- Experience in security-protected procurements
- Experience working in a politically governed organization
- Completed training through the Armed Forces in signal protection

Personal qualities:
- As a person, you are driven and analytical with the ability to plan, implement, and follow up strategic work in a structured manner based on set goals.
- You have a good ability to work independently.
- A large part of the work takes place in collaboration both within the municipal group and with other authorities and organizations, which places high demands on you to be communicative and attentive to your surroundings.
- You can switch between regular, long-term tasks and handling unpredictable events.
